On April 2th-4th, I visited New York City and attended the Inside 3D Printing Conference + Expo.
It was an amazing and mind bending experience. Many of their speakers gave their own perspectives into the future of 3D Printing. Some suggest that they could be in every house in the future and others simply said we would go to 3D print shops and have parts or objects easily printed and available.
Avi Reichental, CEO of 3D Systems and Carl Bass, CEO of Autodesk were the standoutkeynote speakers that stood out to me. 3D Systems and Avi Reichental are the leading company that manufacturers 3D printers. Their printers can print plastic, metals, ceramics and edibles. The CEO of Autodesk, Carl Bass gave great insight into the design process of products on the computer and translating them into 3D form.
Also Christine Furstoss, from GE Manufacturing & Materials Technologies and Curtis Carson, Head of Systems Integration from Airbus agreed that it will revolutionize the manufacturing process and help with efficiency in their products.
